SDC directly employs 50 people and many more through its investments. SDC continues to be involved in a wide range of successful business investments including:

SDC Security Services, established in 1995, is wholly owned by SDC. It provides trained uniformed security guards equipped with mobile patrol units to businesses, mine sites and special events. Our customers include some of Saskatchewan's largest industrial companies.

SDC Construction Ltd., established in 2003, is wholly owned by SDC. The company provides general construction services including heavy equipment operations, carpentry and labour supply. The company has also operated in the capacity of general contractor for multi-million dollar highway improvement work.

Northern Sunset Motel has 16 rooms, a restaurant and tavern with off-sale and video gaming services. This is wholly owned by SDC and was built in 1990 with additions in 2003.

SDC Janitorial Services established in 1995, is wholly owned by SDC and provides custodial services to large scale industrial projects.

Land Development- SDC owns land in and around the community which it will sell, and lease for rural residential and business development purposes.

Mudjatik Thyssen Mining - A joint venture providing a multitude of underground mining services. We take this opportunity to welcome Athabasca Basin Development Corporation as the newest partner in this venture.

Northwest Communities Wood Products - This company is owned by several North West Saskatchewan communities including Ile a la Crosse and is to manage the regions' forestry development to benefit these communities.

NRT: Northern Resource Trucking Limited Partnership is a company comprised of First Nations and Metis partners from communities throughout Northern Saskatchewan, along with Trimac Transportation. NRT hauls commodities for the companies that mine the rich resources of this region.
