The Sakitawak Development Corporation is pleased to announce that it has established the JOHN P. DAIGNEAULT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND.

Three One Thousand Dollar scholarships will be awarded annually to students who are permanent residents of Ile a la Crosse and who have been admitted into a post-secondary institute or university. The award is to recognize perseverance and academic achievement despite facing challenging conditions.

Application forms are available at the SDC office. Application forms are to be submitted no later than July 15 each year.

John Daigneault was a man dedicated to the youth of this community and served on the School Board for many years. He was on the Board of Directors of the Sakitawak Development Corporation and the Village Council at the time of his passing.
